This textile collaboration combines the spirit of traditional Mexican symbols, patterns, and meaning with a modern discernment.  Our fibers come from the mountains of Oaxaca and are hand dyed there using ancient recipes of flowers, leaves, roots, vegetables, and insects.  Each strand of this piece is lovingly spun, dyed and woven by the hands of skilled artisans.  This piece is one step in passing the knowledge and understanding of the plants, the animals, and the time and love it takes to create something worthy of your home. 

We believe that time and nature make the most beautiful things.  Each pieces spends many days or even weeks revealing it’s self on the loom.  Line by line the artisan rocks back in forth to the rhythm of the shuttles, peddles and batten.
